EARNING EFFORT POINTS
On Time Bonus -- 25 POINTS
To be eligible for the on-time bonus you must be at the raid zone and invited to the raid or on the Waiting List* no later than 7:45pm. You must also remain in the raid a minimum of two hours.
Time Award -- 15 POINTS PER HOUR
The primary method of earning effort points will be the amount of time you spend in a raid group or on the Waiting List*.
Ironman Award -- 25 POINTS
A bonus of 25 points will be awarded to all members who are on time and in the raid group or on the Waiting List* until the raid is called. RAIDERS who give advanced noticed of a late arrival are still eligible for this award.
In addition to the On Time Bonus and Time Awards, 25 man zones will award the following EP:
* New Boss Attempt(never killed by guild) -- 2 points per attempt
* New Boss Kill -- 10 points
* Non-Farm Boss Attempt (killed less than 5 times by guild) -- 1 point per attempt
* Non-Farm Boss Kill -- 5 points
* Farm Boss Kill (killed 5 or more times by guild) -- 2 points
GEAR POINT VALUES
The EPGP WoW addon adds a tooltip line to items displaying the GP value of the item. The GP value is computed using the item level and the equipping slot of each item as follows:
GP = item value² x 0.04 x slot value
Item value is computed using the following:
Item Quality Item value
Uncommon (Green) (ilvl - 4) / 2
Rare (Blue) (ilvl - 1.84) / 1.6
Epic (Purple) (ilvl - 1.3) / 1.3
Slot mod is given by the following table:
Equipping Slot Slot value
Head, Chest, Legs, 2H Weapon 1
Shoulder, Hands, Waist, Feet, Recipe 0.777
Trinket 0.7
Wrist, Neck, Back, Finger, Off-hand, Shield 0.55
1H Weapon, Ranged Weapon, Wand 0.42
This model of assigning values to items scales well between rare and epic items alike. In the above list there are blue items that are of better quality than epics and their GP value correctly models this fact. Install the EPGP wow addon and the Gear Point values for items will appear in the tooltip. No setup required.
"Unwanted" Items
When an item would be disenchanted in a 25man raid, it will then be offered at a discounted rate of 50% GP to those who could use it for an off-spec gear set. If more than one person wants the item, priority will determine the winner.
To help offset the cost of off-spec loot, we will offer an 10EP bonus to any player asked to perform an off-spec duty in 25man raids. This is 10EP per boss, not per boss encounter. If you are eligible for this bonus, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for notifying Officer or Raid Leader BEFORE HE/SHE LOGS OFF THAT RAID NIGHT. We will NOT be going back and adding these bonuses after that night's raid has been entered into the system.
DECAY
Both EP and GP will decay at a rate of 10% per raid.
MINIMUM EP REQUIREMENT
You must have earned a minimum of 600 EP in order to receive loot. A 100% raider can earn 600 points in around two weeks so this will not be a substantial burden to initiates who are meeting the required 75% attendance.
MISCELLANEOUS
*Waiting List
Anyone not invited to the raid by 7:45 may choose to be placed on the "Waiting List" on standby. Those on the Waiting List will earn FULL EP as long as they remain online and available to come into the raid. You may switch to an alt character while on the waiting list as long as you inform an officer of the alt's name before switching. You must be available to join the raid group within five minutes of being asked or your Waiting List EP for that night is forfeited.
Transferring Points
Points are technically awarded to the player, not the character. If the officers ask someone to play an alt rather than their main due to the needs of the raid then that player may choose which one of the two characters he would like the points awarded to. And members with more than one raid-level character are permitted to transfer points from one character to another one time and one time only. *EDIT 02/17/08 - transfering points from you current main to a new character will result in a loss of half EP.*
Bind on Equip Items and Wait-Listed Players
If a Bind on Equip item drops and no one in the current raid group bids on it, priority for bidding will first be given to any players who are on the raid Wait List. If no one on the Wait List wants the item, it will go to the guild bank for later distribution.
Loss of EP
Leaving the guild will result in the loss of ALL EP. If a member quits then asks and is permitted to rejoin, he will start at zero EP.
